Changing the way we communicate: As you might know, for many years our donor renewal and acquisition portfolio was outsourced and at the beginning of the present financial year we brought that service in-house. Our service provider did such an excellent job of putting all systems in place to the extent that we felt comfortable to pick up where they have left.
Emailing our news: You might also remember that earlier this year we asked your permission to communicate with you via email. I am happy to inform you that 200 supporters have opted to receive their newsletters digitally. This is a huge saving for Mfesane in terms of using your donation for what it is asked instead of paying for paper newsletters and postage which are more costly.
Investing our finances wisely: As we move into 2018, Mfesane is exploring other cost-saving measures to ensure that we are sustainable. One exciting opportunity we would value your prayer for is strategy around how Mfesane can generate an income through our properties in Khayelitsha and Crossroads. Watch this space in our next newsletter!
MySchoolCard campaign: Woolworths offers you the chance to support Mfesane through their MySchoolCard programme. When you sign up, Woolworths will give a portion of your spend (at no extra cost to you) to a charity of your choice. Please ll in the form enclosed with this newsletter and nominate Mfesane!
We are grateful for you! May I take this opportunity to thank you all our loyal supporters, partners and volunteers. Please accept my sincerest thanks of your involvement, as a CEO of Mfesane I do not take your donations for granted.
